This Art Boot Camp explores acrylic painting in a contemporary style using acrylic painting techniques and paint pens on a pot and on watercolour paper. Students can explore techniques like brush control, line work, flat colour, colour mixing, paint pens, and other different forms of paint application to paint the subject. Students will explore both painting the 3D surface and a 2D painting (1 -2 art pieces) on watercolour paper (Canson’s A4-A3 sizes will be available in class). Please bring other watercolour paper or canvases of your desired size if you wish to create others of your choosing.

Students can explore:

• a variety of painting techniques.
• colour mixing and combining.
• different lines, colours, patterns, textures while expressively using different mediums.
• the use of brushes, sponges, scrapers, palette knives, stencils, paint applicators, paint pens, etc.
• image transferal.
• painting freely with intuitive spontaneity. 

Alternatively, students may prefer to take up the other option, which is to work on your own Personal Painting. With this option, students can create their own personalised painting that explores painting with a subject of their choosing. 1 x A3 Carson Watercolour can be supplied however feel free to bring a canvas of your own size preferences.

I am happy to discuss your project prior to coming on the day. Otherwise, bring your painting surface, canvas or canvases of choice in the size for your desired personal art project/s.
