Junior Student Weekly Art Workshops

Term 3, 2026 – Portraiture

Unlock your creativity and develop your artistic skills with professional artist and educator Anna Maria. This workshop series is designed to help young artists grow in talent and confidence in a supportive and friendly environment.

Over 8 hours of exciting sessions (8 x one-hour sessions - 4:00pm – 5:00pm), where students will explore how to create a portrait giving attention to the proportions of the face. Studies can involve the use of graphite, charcoal, oil pastels and acrylic paint. Students will explore techniques like shading, smudging, blending, rubber smudging and much more. Time permitting, students will explore exaggeration. Let’s get creative and make amazing art together!

Location: Artist Home Studio at 24 Castleroy Court, Albany Creek Q 4035

This course involves 8 hours over 8 workshops within Term 3.

Now Wednesday: 15, not on 22, 29 July, 5, 12 (RNA Show), 19, 26 August, 2, 9 September 4:00–5:00pm (8 x 1 Hour sessions)

Note: Art aprons are supplied however wearing older clothes could prove beneficial or messy little artist. Don’t forget to pack afternoon tea.

Workshop Fees: $260 OR $270 with Starter Visual Diary and 2B graphite pencil: $10
