 La Fanciulla #1 was created with acrylic paint on canvas 2020, 71 x 51 cm. 

La Fanciulla #1 is the first in a series of work that explore the different aspects of feminine youth and growing up as the daughter of Migrant Italians.

La Fanciulla #1 depicts the love and tension of being neither Italian nor pure Australian. This work is linked to my father's birth place of Abruzzo. The linking swallows symbolise the Father's link to my Mother.
